Job Title: Data Analyst Location: In-person Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Experience: 1–3 years (preferred) Sector: Capital Goods & Strategic Skill Development (www.cgssc.org) Job Summary: The Data Analyst will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to support strategic decision-making, policy formulation, and workforce development initiatives within the Capital Goods sector and Strategic Skill Council. This role involves handling large datasets, identifying trends, generating actionable insights, and contributing to the growth of training programs and industry initiatives. Key Responsibilities: 1. Data Collection & Management Gather, organize, and maintain data from multiple sources, including government reports, industry publications, surveys, and internal databases. Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and integrity. Maintain and update databases related to skill development, workforce trends, and industry performance. 2. Data Analysis & Insights Perform statistical analysis and data visualization to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies. Develop comprehensive reports and interactive dashboards using tools such as Excel (advanced), SQL, Power BI, or Tableau. Provide actionable insights to enhance training programs, workforce planning, and policy development. 3. Reporting & Documentation Prepare clear, concise reports, presentations, and documentation for stakeholders, including government agencies, industry partners, and policymakers. Present complex findings in an understandable format for non-technical audiences. 4. Stakeholder Collaboration Collaborate with government bodies, industry associations, training institutes, and policymakers to facilitate data-driven decision-making. Support the design of skill development strategies aligned with market demand and industry trends. 5. Continuous Improvement & Innovation Stay updated on emerging trends in data analytics, capital goods, and workforce development. Recommend enhancements to data collection methods, reporting frameworks, and analytical tools. Qualifications & Skills: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel (advanced), SQL, Python, R, Power BI, or Tableau. Solid understanding of statistical and analytical techniques, including forecasting and trend analysis. Experience with database management and data querying. Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. Detail-oriented with a structured approach to data analysis. Ability to work collaboratively across teams and functions. Preferred Experience: 1–3 years in data analysis, preferably in manufacturing, skill development, or industry research. Exposure to workforce planning, policy analysis, or market research.
