Job description
Objectives:
- Control production activities to meet the sales targets
- Plant in charge to Ensure plant profitability targets are met
- Ensure OH & S guidelines are implemented and become part of plant culture
Preferred candidate profile:
- BE- Civil / Mechanical with minimum 10 years job experience. Proven work experience as a plant manager in Ready mix concrete
- Proven managerial experience
- Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources)
- Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise
- Be knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory and stewardship processes
- Ability to create accountability and to lead by example
- Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure smooth production of concrete in plant at all times as per the schedule
- Maintain optimal percentage capacity utilisation of the plant
- Co-ordination with Lab Technician for QA/QC related issues
- Co-ordinate with Despatcher/ Customer Solutions Engineer regarding Transit Mixers/ pump availability
- Ensure optimum utilization of Transit Mixer/ pump
- Ensure on-time deliveries
- Co-ordinate with WMS Officer on inventory and material management
- Handling situation arising out of concrete rejection by the client
- Ensure OH&S standards are maintained at all times
- Ensure cleanliness of plant at all times
- Ensure safety of plant
- Co-ordinate with maintenance In charge/ WMS Officer/ Loader technician regarding maintenance issues
- Co-ordinate with dispatcher and take decisions regarding delay and divert, or shutdown
- Uploading of PODs into SAP on a daily basis and compiling of Invoices and sending them to Accounts In-charge for Invoicing
