Data Science Engineer

Location: Kozhikode

Experience: 4 to 10 Years

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage end-to-end data science and machine learning projects from problem definition to production deployment.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to translate business problems into analytical solutions.
• Build, validate, and deploy predictive models, recommendation systems, forecasting models, and optimization solutions.
• Oversee data exploration, feature engineering, model selection, and performance tuning.
• Ensure best practices in model governance, documentation, and version control.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering teams for data pipelines, ETL processes, and cloud-based data platforms.
• Mentor and guide data scientists and analysts, conducting code reviews and performance evaluations.
• Present insights, model outcomes, and business impact clearly to senior management.
• Stay updated with emerging trends in AI, ML, and advanced analytics and recommend adoption where relevant.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong proficiency in Python / R and data science libraries (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.).
• Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms, statistics, and data modeling techniques.
• Experience with SQL and working on large structured and unstructured datasets.
• Hands-on experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Matplotlib, Seaborn, etc.).
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure / AWS / GCP) and MLOps practices is preferred.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver within timelines.
